LYNDA L. HUNTER Ms. Hunter's background includes over 30 years in a wide variety of laboratories, including 23 years in facilities with laboratory information systems. Ms. Hunter holds a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from the University of Missouri at Kansas City. She has two Master's Degrees; one in Pathology, which she earned at Central Missouri State University, and the other in Health Services Administration, which she earned at Webster University. Ms. Hunter has also completed post-graduate course work toward her Ph.D. in Pathology at the University of Kansas. Publications related to computers include applications such as: fax, team approach to laboratory information systems (LIS) management, the LIS as a continuous quality improvement (CQI) tool, and leadership in the information age. Other published article topics are in relation to management, leadership, statistical analysis, career entry competencies, and benchmarking. Ms. Hunter is a frequent speaker at national and local seminars and meetings. Consulting appointments have been associated with a nursing home multi-physician practice laboratory, laboratory consolidation and automation, billing practices, and outreach testing, including both internally-developed laboratory and physician practice information systems and purchased complete laboratory information systems. Ms. Hunter's professional affiliations include: Clinical Laboratory Management Association (CLMA), where she is currently serving as President; American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE); and American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC). |
