JUNE T. PETROCELLY, M.B.A., M.T.(ASCP)

Ms. Petrocelly is a Senior Associate based in Dallas, Texas.  She has over 20 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting, having worked as a hematology supervisor, clinical laboratory instructor, systems analyst, project leader, and systems manager.  An ASCP registered Medical Technologist, Ms. Petrocelly received a BS degree in microbiology and chemistry from Louisiana State University and an MBA from Northeastern University.  She has attended continuing education courses in Health Care Information Systems Management at Harvard School of Public Health.

Ms. Petrocelly has been involved with successful LIS implementations in a variety of health care environments, including a 1,100 bed hospital and an HMO.  She was employed at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis as a systems analyst and a member of the LIS implementation team automating a previously manual system.

At the Triple G Corporation, Markham, Ontario, Canada she served as Manager of Implementation Services and Client Support. In that capacity, Ms. Petrocelly developed implementation organization and methodologies, managed corporate implementation teams, coordinated client activities including customer training and performed project management for information system installations.

At Harvard Community Health Plan (HCHP) in Boston, New England's oldest Health Maintenance Organization, Ms. Petrocelly was the leader of the project team responsible for the conversion to the third generation of laboratory information systems.  This conversion involved change of LIS vendor, including hardware and software components of the system and in the creation of the appropriate organizational infrastructure to make optimum use of the new system.

Ms. Petrocelly was the LIS systems manager at HCHP and served on the Health Plan's Policy Coordinating Group (PCG) for establishing system priorities and resource allocation.  She was also responsible for coordinating and successfully implementing a major software release upgrade for the Health Plan's LIS.

At Dennis Winsten & Associates, Ms. Petrocelly has consulted to major joint venture/merger laboratory clients with regard to the optimum disposition of existing LIS. Her recommendations were based on functional, operational and economic criteria as well as other relevant strategic and business factors.

She is a member of the Clinical Laboratory Management Association (CLMA) and the Health Information Management and Systems Society (HIMSS), has served on the faculty of the University of Michigan LIS Symposium and has published papers on LIS issues.
